Travel & Accessibility: Town Hall to Save Wild Salmon

IF DRIVING: Park in Lot Q off of Fourth Street, using exit 4E.

  • Pay parking is in effect 8 am - 8 pm
  • Parking costs $2.50/2 hours to a maximum of $8 for 12 hours
  • Pay Stations in the General parking lots will take $0.25, $1, $2 coins as well as $5, $10 and $20 bills, MasterCard, VISA.
  • VIU has a license plate recognition system for parking. You no longer need to return to your vehicle to display a paper ticket – tickets will be purchased via a pay station or mobile phone using your plate number.
  • Drivers with a valid handicap parking pass can park for free in any stall as long as the stall is not restricted or reserved. Restricted or reserved spaces will be indicated.

 

IF BUSSING: The following routes all stop at the VIU Bus Loop behind building 250 (Lot P):

6 - Harewood

5 - Fairview

40 - VIU Express

15 - VIU Connector

25 - Ferry Shuttle

Accessibility Routes

IF DRIVING: The best accessibility route is from Parking Lot Q (4E entrance off of Fourth Street). Enter through the ground level double doors next to the parking ticket machine, and stay on the ground level as you head straight down the hall and into the first set of double doors on your left. For those who are sighted, signage will be outside the main door; for those with vision impairment, volunteers will be stationed outside the door for assistance.

IF BUSSING: The best accessibility route is from Parking Lot P (bus loop). Enter building 250 through the double doors at the back of the bus loop, behind the shelters. Head straight down the hall,  follow as it veers left and then right into a lobby. The elevator will be located on your left once in the lobby. Take the elevator down to the ground floor, take a right out of the elevator and another quick right. Head straight down the hall and into the first set of double doors on your left. For those who are sighted, signage will be outside the main door; for those with vision impairment, volunteers will be stationed outside the door for assistance.
